Laurie Berkner keeps kids, parents dancing and singing

CD sales in nearly every genre have been declining for several years, largely because of legal and illegal digital downloads. Children's music has been the exception. Last summer, the company Nielsen Soundscan reported children's music CD sales were up 38 percent. We're not talking about traditional songs like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. It's more like Kindie rock. Laurie Berkner has been a leader in the Kindie rock movement. If your kids watch Noggin, you've probably seen her music videos. Berkner performs Sunday at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte. She spoke to WFAE's Greg Collard.
