'Homeland' House Sold In Charlotte

Sorry, “ Homeland” fans: the Charlotte house where Sgt. Nicholas Brody and his family live has already been sold.

Keller Williams agent Mike Anderson listed the house for sale in the Mountainbrook neighborhood with an asking price of $394,000. The four bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home has been the scene of domestic drama for the Brody family for the first two seasons of Homeland.

In real life, the house is owned by Vicki Tetreault, a medical transcriber. She grew up in the house, living there from fifth grade through college.

Within a day, the house was sold, Tetreault said Monday afternoon.

The house on Knob Hill Court, of course, is supposed to be in Virginia in the fictional “Homeland” landscape. Brody, played by Damian Lewis, and his wife Jessica Brody, played by Morena Baccarin, try to reestablish their lives there after Brody returns from years spent in enemy captivity.

In January, Tetreault said the house has become something of a tourist destination. About 25 people came by to take photos at Christmastime.

“Last year I thought I’d put a sign out sayin’ ’Brody doesn’t live here,’ you know?” she told WCNC at the time. “So they know that he isn’t really in the house.”

Her parents built the one-story home in 1960. Anderson notes in the listing that you might be familiar with the house from “Homeland,” and reveals other details as well.

The lot is a half-acre, and “perfect for entertaining” (anyone remember Brody’s awkward welcome-home party?).

“Home has great bones, all hardwoods except kitch & Den. Baths need updating. Incredible buy,” writes Anderson, who couldn’t immediately be reached by phone.

The show, which is shot largely in Charlotte, returns for its third season on Showtime on Sept. 29 at 9 p.m.
