In recent years, financial institutions have added so-called "green" building to their cache of environmentally friendly initiatives. Charlotte-based Bank of America and Wachovia both recently announced that their new uptown towers will be certified "green." Meanwhile, HSBC's new U.S. Mortgage Services headquarters in Fort Mill is already "green." From WFAE's Carolinas Business Bureau, Simone Orendain reports on the trend.
