When the arrival of Google Fiber was little more than a trial balloon, we spent an hour talking about how it had impacted places like Kansas City. Now that it’s coming to Charlotte, we’ll spend another hour talking about how it might affect us. Google Fiber promises to increase internet speed by 100 times what is currently available and provide free access to many. All about becoming a more connected city, closing the digital divide and more.
The 2015 Best Minds Conference hosted by The Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte is March 20-21. There is a panel discussion on "Charlotte 2025: The Connected City" Friday at 6:30 pm at Queens.
