Who would know more about living in poverty than someone who has lived in poverty? Donna Beegle is an expert on the topic because she was homeless for 28 years, married at 15 and is the only person in her family to have gone to college. She’s also an expert because, as a Ph.D., she’s made it her profession to get individuals out of poverty by educating people about the barriers the poverty stricken face.
