A Fund Drive's Secret Ingredient
There are many things that go into making a successful fund drive here at WFAE. Scheduling, selecting messaging, organizing volunteers and practicing what you hear on air are all key parts of each fund drive.
One component you might not expect, but that is one of our favorites, is the food. Our terrific volunteers are often coming here before work, skipping their lunch break or coming directly from work. And WFAE staffers are often working long hours to perform their main job and fulfill pledge drive duties. With this in mind, WFAE's Jorge Fernandez arranges for area restaurants to contribute meals to feed the folks making the fund drive happen.
We thank Jorge for the time and effort he takes to line up three meals a day but most of all we thank the restaurants that generously provide the food for WFAE volunteers and staff. Your contributions are so appreciated!
The following restaurants gave us meals. Next time you eat at one of these, please tell them thanks for giving to your favorite public radio station, WFAE.
