The NCAA ends its boycott of North Carolina after last week's repeal of HB2. Charlotte's homicide figures continue to rise, now to 27 for the year. Charlotte mayoral candidates are raising money. And the UNC Tar Heels are national champions. Mike Collins and the Roundup reporters discuss the week's top local stories. 

Last week’s repeal of HB2 was controversial, with lawmakers receiving criticism from those in the LGBT community. However, the actions taken by North Carolina lawmakers seem to have had the desired effect, since the ACC and the NCAA have lifted their boycotts of North Carolina for future tournaments. Will the NBA follow suit? We’ll discuss.

The homicide rate in Charlotte continues to rise, to 27 so far for the year. We talk about what CMPD is saying about the alarming number.

The race for Charlotte mayor has seen some movement in terms of fundraising this week. We’ll look through how much each candidate's campaigns have raised for their bid for mayor.

And the UNC Tar Heels went all the way- winning the NCAA Championship Monday night and bringing basketball glory back to North Carolina! Last week, Huntersville native Luke Maye made the big shot to send the team to the Final Four- this week, a graduate of West Charlotte, Kennedy Meeks is getting the attention. He is on the cover of Sports Illustrated- we’ll talk about his big plays in the last seconds of the game.
