Gaston County Police have charged four people with the murder of a man in southwest Gastonia Thursday.
Police have identified the victim as David Joseph Yates II, 30, of Lincolnton.
According to police, officers received a call about a possible shooting on Ivey Drive near Humphrey Boulevard at 9 a.m. Officers found Yates deceased, lying in the roadway.
Detectives identified a possible suspect vehicle near Grover, North Carolina, carrying four people. David Keith Bridges, 24; James Lee Flanagan, 26; Amanda Kelly Hoppel, 25; and Jordan William Gigee, 28, were detained and face murder and kidnapping charges.
All four are being held without bond in the Gaston County Jail.
