FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg building resumed normal operations and employees returned to work Thursday afternoon, a few hours after an unspecified threat led authorities to evacuate the building.
Authorities swept Marshall Hall and and found no indication of a threat, according to reporting by the Fayetteville Observer.
Spokesman Paul Boyce told local news sources that the building, which is home to U.S. Army Forces Command and U.S. Army Reserve Command, was emptied shortly after 1 p.m. as a safety precaution.
The building houses approximately 900 uniformed and civilian workers between the two commands.
Boyce was unable to indicate the nature of the threat, but told the Fayetteville Observer that employees are "proceeding on with the day."
