Twenty-nine-year-old Brittany Maynard put a young face on the right-to-die movement. Diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer, she chose to end her life, not wanting to put herself or her family through the pain and suffering she was already starting to endure. Only five states make aid-in-dying legal but the practice is gaining traction.  We take a closer look at the concept, and hear from Diane Rehm, who has taken a stand on the issue.

Guests:
Diane Rehm
- Host of The Diane Rehm Show. Her husband John died from Parkinson's disease and she has advocated for aid-in-dying after watching him suffer.

Dr. Robert Smith - Medical Director, Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region

Peter Brunnick - President and CEO, Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region

Dr. David Grube - Medical Director for Compassion & Choices
