Parts of Uptown will be restricted to the public beginning Sunday, September 2, at 9 a.m. Law enforcement agencies, including the Secret Service, have released the security plan and restrictions for the Democratic National Convention. The plan includes three vehicle checkpoints along the perimeter of Uptown. The security restrictions are split into four areas: Time-Warner Cable Arena, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, the Charlotte Convention Center and Bank of America Stadium.
