Democratic Convention Starts

CarolinaFest, the big street party to welcome delegates and give everyone a chance to mingle – is over. Now the Democratic Convention gets down to business. We take a look at what will be happening over the course of the week and talk to Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx. He helped convince Democrats to bring the convention to town and has a lot riding on how this week turns out. He’ll be with us along with reports from WFAE news reporters. We'll also sit down with Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright while she's in town for the convention to talk politics, Condoleezza Rice's speech at the RNC and more.


During our interview with Secretary Albright, she shared her advice for President Obama's acceptance speech that he will deliver Thursday in Charlotte. We also presented her with a special pin. Watch here:
