Education in North Carolina got a lot of attention during the state General Assembly's short session this summer. That session, including some decisions about education, concluded only days before the start of the school year. Monday was the first day of school for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, so today, CMS Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison joins us to talk about CMS and how the actions of the Legislature this summer will impact students, teachers and families. We'll also talk about some school security enhancements, the quarter-cent sales tax proposal and more.
