CMPD: Man Shot In North Charlotte Has Died

A 25-year-old man who was shot in north Charlotte Monday morning has died, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Tevin Javonte Snow was shot Monday morning while driving on WT Harris Boulevard in the University City area. He died early Tuesday, according to police.

CMPD said officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service a little before 11:30 a.m. Monday. When they arrived on the scene, they found a man, later identified as Snow, inside a car with a gunshot wound. Snow was taken to the hospital Monday with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe the suspect, driving a gray Honda Crosstour, shot into Snow’s car while he was driving it. The victim lost control of the car and crashed into a guardrail. No other people were injured during the incident, CMPD said.

This is an ongoing investigation. The public is asked to call  Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 with any information.
