City/County Consolidation The County budget has been announced and there will be deep cuts and strained resources for virtually every service under county control. The City of Charlotte is in a similar budget crisis, so the talk of consolidating city and county services has heated up again. We've invited members of the County Commission and City Council to join us to talk about exactly what services could be consolidated, how much money might be saved and what it would mean for the administration of many services that are now separate.
