Monday, June 4, 2018

On the next Charlotte Talks, we look back on the life, career and beliefs of Robert F. Kennedy, a man who started out as a staunch anti-communist and ended up a hot-blooded liberal.

June 5 marks the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.  He is often remembered as a liberal hero who worked to heal racial strife, decrease poverty and end the war in Vietnam but he started out as a staunch anti-communist who worked closely with Senator Joseph McCarthy.

We talk with biographer Larry Tyeabout Robert Kennedy, his life and his beliefs and about Tye’s book:  Bobby Kennedy:  The Making of a Liberal Icon

GUESTS:

Larry Tye, author, Bobby Kennedy: The Making of a Liberal Icon
