North Carolina Native Carl Kasell was a beloved and trusted NPR voice for more than 30 years. He died on Tuesday in Potomac, Maryland, at the age of 84 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Back in 2005, Carl visited WFAE, and we had a conversation about his many years in the news and as the official judge and scorekeeper for NPR’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me.
We talked about everything from barbecue to his love of magic tricks and the very beginnings of his career. We listen back to that conversation.
