Tips for raising a generation of digital natives and when to let young people have cell phones and social media accounts. Interestingly our experts say, "don’t fret." But they add, "be smart."
Everyone today is tethered to their smartphone. They have become ubiquitous, addictive and yes, necessary and kids want one of their own.
So, at what age should you allow that to happen? What about social media accounts? When they get those phones, how do you control their use of them? How much screen time is too much?
And though your kids may be more proficient than you are in all-things digital, in an age of cyber-bullying, fake news and inappropriate online behavior, how do you set rules?
Our guests today say none of this needs to be scary and they have answers to these questions and tips on how to successfully raise a generation of digital natives. They join host Mike Collins.
