Wednesday, July 4, 2018

On this Independence Day edition of Charlotte Talks, we listen back to Mike's conversation with musician, actor, TV host Harry Connick Jr., celebrating his hometown of New Orleans and its music.

Harry Connick Jr. has been a fixture in American pop culture for decades, with his music, movies, Broadway appearances, and most recently, his daytime TV show.

Grammy and Emmy Award-winning Harry Connick Jr.was in Charlotte in June on tour with his New Orleans Tri-centennial Celebration.

He spoke with Mike in advance of his Charlotte stop to discuss his varied career in music, movies, Broadway, and TV -- as well as the reasons behind his love for his hometown. Today we revisit that conversation.

This conversation originally aired June 6, 2018.
