Friday, October 27 2017

On the Friday News Roundup, the two candidates for Charlotte mayor met this week on Charlotte Talks.  Our panel will go over their differences and similarities.  Our bid for Major League Soccer appears to be dead.  Five thousand people gathered for the first “On the Table Charlotte” event to talk about ways to improve the region.  And the question of what to do about the old Eastland Mall site comes up for discussion again.  Host Mike Collins and the Roundup Reporters will have details on those stories and more.

On this edition of the local news roundup….  Charlotte Talks hosted our mayoral candidate event this week. We’ll discuss where the differences between the two candidates emerged, and what they had to say.

And there’s renewed talk about the future of the site of the demolished Eastland Mall. The city’s economic development committee heard an update on Thursday and we’ll let you in on the details.
