While Senate Republicans try to rally support for their health care bill, we’ll take an in-depth look at what the proposal could mean for North Carolina.
After Senate Republicans revealed their much-awaited version of a health care bill last week, the reaction was swift. Senate Democrats and some medical groups have concerns about the proposal's limits on Medicaid spending and say it will leave too many people uninsured.
Some GOP senators say the measure doesn’t go far enough in repealing Obamacare policies and lowering health care costs.
With no Democratic support and a number of Republican Senators saying they will reject the bill without changes, the race is on to pass a bill before the July 4th recess.
Monday'sreportfrom the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office presents additional challenges for those trying to rally support for the bill. It estimates that under the Senate's plan, 22 million people would lose health insurance over the next 10 years.
