On the next Charlotte Talks an update on the toll lanes on I-77 as well as a comparison of that road to one in Wake County and to the Peach Pass in Atlanta and how it affects congestion
Toll lanes are coming to I-77. After years of construction, they will most likely open later this year with a lot of questions still unanswered. That’s part of the controversy that has followed these lanes from the beginning.
But Charlotte isn’t the only city in North Carolina getting toll lanes, construction on a similar roadway is underway in Wake County. We get a comparison of that project to ours and one dubbed “the Peach Pass” in Atlanta to see if it lived up to its promises
