Charlotte Talks

Today on Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins, we’ll take a look at arts education in K-12 schools. Music, theatre, visual arts and dance. Arts in the curriculum has been shown to not only develop students’ creative abilities but improve performance in other subjects as well. National and regional experts are in town for an education conference examining the State of the Arts in N.C. and a few of them will join us to find out how the arts are integrated into our schools. What gets put into the curriculum and what doesn’t? How has the No Child Left Behind Act affected arts education? Add your questions and comments to the conversation by calling 704-926-WFAE (9323) or tollfree 1-800-603-WFAE (9323) or email charlottetalks@wfae.org.
