Apr 24, 2018

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot in May, Charlotte Symphony-goers will recognize a familiar figure in the chapel. Charlotte Symphony Music Director Christopher Warren-Green will conduct the wedding ceremony orchestra, Kensington Palace announced Tuesday.

Warren-Green, who also serves as the principal conductor of the London Chamber Orchestra, will conduct a group made up of musicians from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the English Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia.

Other ceremony performers include the Choir of St. George’s Chapel, 19-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir, singer Elin Manahan Thomas, trumpeter David Blackadder, organist Luke Bond and the State Trumpeters.

The wedding service is set to take place on May 19th at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
