Recently a sewer spill in Charlotte allowed an estimated 1,500 gallons of wastewater to flow into a tributary of Mallard Creek. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities, tree roots were to blame. It's a situation that pops up in Mecklenburg County on a regular basis. WFAE's Scott Graf spoke with utilities spokesman Cam Coley, to learn more.
