As LGBT issues work their way through secular society, they often find roadblocks within religious institutions. While some have opened their doors, other denominations continue to struggle with how to treat LGBT believers. Within the Catholic Church, the pope seems more open but local church leaders aren’t ready to take that step which is why Sister Jeannine Gramick was barred from using a local Catholic Church for a talk on inclusion.
