When Michael Tarwater arrived at Charlotte Memorial Hospital 35 years ago it was a relatively small facility. But like its logo, from those roots a massive tree has grown. Today, Carolinas Healthcare System includes impressive branches like the Levine Cancer Institute and the Levine Children’s Hospital. That growth occurred during Michael Tarwater’s 14 years as CEO. Now retiring from that position, he joins us to reflect and look to the future.
