Bodies Of 2 Boaters Found In Lake Norman

The bodies of two boaters  missing on Lake Norman over the weekend were found Sunday.  The two men were reported missing Friday night after they failed to return from fishing.

The Mooresville Tribune reports that authorities found the bodies of 38-year-old Fredrick Martin and his 48-year-old uncle, Ernest Norris Jr. on Sunday, after they surfaced in the lake.

Their overturned boat and life jackets were found Saturday near Hagers Creek Landing in Mooresville.

The Tribune reports that their boat was in poor condition, rotting in spots.

An investigation is continuing.
