The Biltmore Estate

It's America's largest private home, and can boast America's most visited winery, and is one of the favorite places in the South among people who live in the South. The Biltmore Estate is, without question, one of North Carolina's biggest, most famous and most visited places. On this edition of Charlotte Talks, we talk with George Vanderbilt's great-grandson, Bill Cecil, Jr., President and CEO of Biltmore. We'll talk about the history of the house and learn the story of how and why the estate became public tourist destination. We'll also discuss the business of Biltmore and its importance to North Carolina and to the Vanderbilt family today. Contact the show: 704-926-9323, 800-603-9323, charlottetalks@wfae.org, or a blog.
