In the debate over passage of HB2 prohibiting discrimination protections for LGBT individuals and forcing transgender people to use the bathroom of the gender on their birth certificate, there has been one perspective that has largely gone unheard: that of transgender people. They feel there has been confusion and misconceptions about what it means to be transgender, so we offer them a forum to discuss that and more.
